City Year Baton Rouge Plays PolitiCraft

Recently, a group of AmeriCorps members from City Year Baton Rouge gathered to play PolitiCraft.  Over the course of several hours, a lively and informative exchange of ideas took place on a wide variety of topics selected by the players as they took part in one or more games of PolitiCraft.

As we designed and built PolitiCraft, we firmly believed we were creating a tool that could be extremely valuable in the classroom, but also play a role in potentially difficult conversations going on outside of the classroom as well.  During and after the game play, we asked the City Year AmeriCorps members about their experiences, along with how they perceived the value of the game both in the classroom and beyond.  We created two brief videos using their responses which are available below.

We want express our deepest gratitude to all of the City Year AmeriCorps members who participated, along with the entire City Year Baton Rouge organization that enabled us to put on this event.  The feedback we received was extremely valuable, and will impact future additions and expansions of PolitiCraft.  We look forward to working with City Year on additional projects in the future.

Special thanks to Marc Goldstein of Creative Video Productions for his work in filming and producing these videos.
